As part of our agreement with Wastewise Schools, Tamaki College did another annual waste audit. With a keen group of Year 12s and two new Year 9 members we spent half a day in the glorious sunshine sorting through rubbish! The purpose of the audit was to see what types of rubbish we are putting into landfill, the volume and whether it can be diverted from landfill, in other words be recycled. We are pleased to say that our school has shown some improvement. We are recycling a lot more and therefore our rubbish has been reduced by about a third. Well done to the Enviro Group and well done to Tamaki College!

Enviro Challenge...
Recently we were part of the Enviro Challenge. This involved doing an environmental review, poster, video, presentation and debate. The Enviro Group did an amazing job. Check out our video and poster which focus on the message; Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!
